Dr. Wayne Smith D.C.

G. Wayne Smith D.C. grew up watching his father Dr. Tracy Smith fight for chiropractic care to become accepted in the state of Louisiana. Working in his father’s clinic, he saw firsthand how his father helped patients and decided to pursue his own career in chiropractic.

After graduating from Louisiana Tech University, Dr. Wayne moved to Pasadena, Texas to continue his education at Texas Chiropractic College. During his four years there, Dr. Wayne learned the science behind his father’s treatments, as well as new techniques of modern chiropractic.

After graduating in 1977, Dr. Wayne decided to branch out on his own. He moved to Springhill, La where he opened an independent practice. Dr. Wayne enjoyed the close knit community of Springhill, especially through his work with the local chapter of the United States Junior Chamber, leading eventually to his serving on the Jaycee state board. When his father retired in 1995, Dr. Wayne took over the family practice in Ruston in addition to his office in Springhill. Smith Chiropractic Center continues to serve patients at both locations.

Dr. Wayne is ready to help improve your quality of life, whether you’re suffering from an acute injury or a chronic condition. He also offers preventative chiropractic care. Dr. Wayne specializes in full spine diversified technique to address a wide variety of ailments. For those patients whose bodies can’t handle the pressure of traditional chiropractic care, he offers alternative treatment, including activator methods. Call Smith Chiropractic Center today to see how Dr. Wayne can help you.

Dr. Wayne and his wife Jackie enjoy fishing and spending time with their family, especially their two grandsons

Dr. Greg Smith D.C.

Greg Smith D.C. grew up watching his father and grandfather practice chiropractic medicine. With such role models, it comes as no surprise he chose chiropractic as his profession.

After graduating from Louisiana Tech University, Dr. Greg continued his education at Texas Chiropractic College where he found that chiropractic care was not only his legacy but also his passion. During his four years at TCC, Dr. Greg was elected president of his class and founded a leadership program. He enjoyed mentoring prospective and incoming students, teaching them about chiropractic and helping them acclimate to the greater Houston area. After graduating in December 2007, Dr. Greg returned home to Ruston to join his father and sisters at Smith Chiropractic Center as Louisiana’s first third-generation chiropractor.

At Smith Chiropractic Center, Dr. Greg strives to modernize the clinic while maintaining its family values. From physical therapy to custom Foot Levelers Orthotics, Dr. Greg brings many new treatments to his family’s practice. He is especially interested in pediatric and prenatal care. While primarily using full spine diversified technique to treat his patients, Dr. Greg is also certified in activator methods, a low force technique for those patients whose bodies can’t handle the pressure or who are afraid of the “pop” associated with traditional chiropractic care.

Dr. Greg is committed to educating his patients about all available treatment options to mitigate their pain and increase their quality of life. He performs full orthopedic, neurologic, and radiological diagnostic tests on his new patients. This thorough examination allows him to get to know you and your wellness goals, and he will work with you to improve your health.

In 2012 Dr. Greg married his lovely wife Lillian; they spend most of their time traveling with their dog Laila. He enjoys logic puzzles and board games and can often be caught talking to his patients about LSU and Saints football.
